Another Referendum: 20 May 1980

Thirty years ago today voters in Québec were called upon to vote on sovereignty. It is one of my earliest political  memories, though no-one in my immediate family could vote. The decency of the two principle political actors--Trudeau and Lévesque--is now shocking.
